Ruben Fernhout, known for his vibrant role in The Partysquad, now channels his passion into celebrating his cultural heritage through fashion, music and community events. As a producer, songwriter and performer with The Partysquad, Ruben toured extensively gaining global recognition.

During his travels he was inspired by the widespread Indonesian influences he encountered. A reflection of his own heritage, with his mother hailing from Jakarta (formerly Batavia).

Driven by a deep passion and desire to preserve his cultural roots Ruben has launched various initiatives with pride and passion.

These include Masa Cinta, a batik clothing line; Anak Badung, an artist collective in Bali; Studio Kamal, a music and recording studio; and Nongkrong, a next-generation pasar festival and more.
