[Nong-krong] Chilling, getting together with no specific plan or reason. Being around friends: hanging out and talk about random things.

Welcome to Nongkrong, a vibrant platform dedicated to preserving the cultural identity of descendants from the former Dutch East Indies who have made their home in the Netherlands. With a primary focus on engaging young adults and adolescents, Nongkrong, affectionately known as NK is more than just a community; it's a celebration of heritage and connection.

At the heart of Nongkrong's mission are physical networking events, festivals and club nights, providing spaces where shared stories and experiences come to life. But our vision extends beyond the tangible; we're also crafting an interactive digital hub, a virtual sanctuary where voices are amplified through articles, video portraits and creative expressions.

Looking ahead, Nongkrong is excitedly preparing for upcoming festival on the 30th of June 2024 in Zaandam. But also talent nights and collaborative ventures bridging the Netherlands and Indonesia. Our ethos is rooted in positivity and inclusivity, fostering connections that transcend borders and generations.

By embracing our past with reverence and embracing the future with innovation, we believe in building something enduring, something that evolves alongside the dynamic currents of time.

Join us as we embrace our shared heritage with open arms, weaving a tapestry of traditions, memories and aspirations. Nongkrong isn't just about preserving the past; it's about shaping a future where cultural heritage thrives, adapting and flourishing in the ever-changing landscape of modernity.

Welcome to a community where the past informs the present and inspires the future - a community where every voice matters and every story adds to the rich tapestry of our collective identity. Welcome to Nongkrong.
