Esmay Usmany is a professional musician, playwright and writer. She sings, acts, writes, and creates. After graduating from the Utrecht Conservatory, she performed in various musical theater productions, touring throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.

She reached the finals of the Utrecht Cabaret Festival, won the audience award at the Fringe Festival and received the press award for best performance from the Rijswijk Language Festival.

Currently, she can be seen in theaters with her show "Soedah laat maar...", which was awarded four stars and received a glowing review from Theaterparadijs. LEVEN!magazine describes her songs and lyrics as poetic, narrative and unifying.
